Manufacturer Specifications
Product specifications are primarily based on current manufacturer documentation, supplier documentation and product data available to us. When a depth, range, warranty or performance figure comes from a manufacturer, we treat it as a manufacturer-stated specification, not as a guaranteed real-world result.
Depth, Range and Performance Claims
Detector performance can change with target size and composition, soil mineralization, moisture, salt, terrain, electromagnetic interference, coil or sensor configuration, device settings and operator technique. We do not guarantee that a product will reproduce a maximum manufacturer-stated depth or range in every field condition.
Hands-On Testing
We do not describe a product as independently field-tested by Metal Detectors Direct unless the page clearly documents that testing. If a guide is based on manufacturer specifications and published documentation rather than our own test, we say so.
Buyer Guides and Comparisons
Our goal is to help buyers match technology to the job. A more expensive product is not automatically the right choice. Guides may compare VLF, multi-frequency, pulse-induction, long-range and 3D scanning technologies based on intended use, published specifications and practical purchasing considerations.
Customer Reviews
Customer reviews should represent genuine customer experiences. We do not create or publish fabricated customer reviews. Supplier or manufacturer feedback is not presented as a verified Metal Detectors Direct customer review.
