Genuine UIG BT-250 battery, the original replacement power pack for UIG detection systems. A tired battery is the most commonly misdiagnosed fault on any detector: as voltage sags the machine loses sensitivity, readings drift and the unit may shut down mid-scan, all of which looks like an electronics problem rather than a power problem.

Because these systems are used away from mains power, most operators carry a spare pack so one can charge while the other is working. Fitting a fresh battery is always the first diagnostic step when a previously reliable machine turns inconsistent.
